Freestyle Poem
Thank you for coming my way
You taught me so much
Even though we were a bunch
the legos were a mind boggle
and surviving after the plane crash
didn’t get us any points
the jello was brain food
yet still led to no points
Thank you Kurpis for your time and patience
when I take BPL I’ll thank you again!
Blog on Management:
I believe that this blog assignment was really helpful and it made me communicate with my classmates outside of class and I got to know them better and learned more about them which I wouldn't have if it wasn't for the blogs.
2. Did the blog effectively get you to think about and share your perceptions about what we did in class?
The blog definitely helped me get my point across. I know sometimes there isn't time to talk about how others thought or if they thought the samething as me but it really made is easier and it was something I look forward to finding out somethings like the personality of everyone.
3. It allowed a way to introduce several management topics (through the prof’s blog) that were not directly related to the course of study but were nonetheless interesting (hopefully) to think about. Did you feel there was enough of this kind of outside reading to do via the blog?
4. Did you clearly understand the degree to which your test anxieties could be offset by appropriate attention to your blog?
I never really put it like that because whenever I hear the word test I definitely build anxiety and this is a new approach instead of how the other classes are so it is hard to get used to, but it definitely made the class more interesting and I think sometimes when teachers don't put pressure on students it actually makes them learn!
5. Do you plan on continuing to post your thoughts or ideas about school, work, career, life on your blog after this class has ended?
Yea I would definitely want to, but I don't know who will really read it. lol. But I definitely want to continue it and tell my friends to join. It is a good way to go on and get things out without stressing on them.

Special Order at Mickey D's!
When I walked into McDonalds it wasn’t really crowded, there were only a few customers. I went up to the cashier and I felt a little awkward to order but I went forward and told her I wanted a cheeseburger with 4 pickles on it and small fries without any salt. In the cheeseburger I told them that I was vegetarian so I didn’t want the meat either but at first she was like we don’t have veggie burgers and then I told her I wanted a cheese burger. She didn’t really act weird about it as I thought she would and she turned out to be nice about it except she told me that I would have to wait for the fries. Then their machine was really slow to print the receipt so I was waiting and watching them prepare my order. There were 2 cashiers and about 4 people working in the back with one that wore a red dress so I am guessing it was their manager.
When they got to my order the cashier was like “FRIES WITHOUT SALT?!?!” and the manager was like don’t dump it in there, first rinse out the bin and then put them. I never would have thought that they made fries without salt and they were actually nice about doing it. Then I saw them rinse the bin and then they put the fries for me and they poured some in the paper bag and finally my order was done. It took about 20 minutes- only because the other fries had to be done, if I ordered 2 minutes before they dumped a fresh tray of fries as I was ordering but it wasn’t that long.
Then she finally gave me the receipt with the order and when I looked at it, it all seemed fine except where the pickles part came it said extra pickles and I told her that I need it to say 4 pickles and she said we don’t have the machines to do that. Then I was like are you sure you can’t do it and she was like yes we only type extra and she asked me if it was for a school project and I told her yes and I asked her if she can type four then and she said no it is only extra, so then I just went and sat down to eat.
I went to check if the order was done correctly. I knew the fries were perfect but I just had to open and check the burger and yes they had put exactly four pickles and I was happy!
I think this McDonalds did a good job in handling a special order. They didn’t seem mean about it and they got it at their first shot. I know if I had gone to the one that was really busy like at a mall then they would probably have to repeat my order and be mean about it as well. The only thing I can see is that they can type how many pickles I wanted or they should have a special function to add something that their buttons already don’t have because it can help them coordinate more efficiently because she had to tell them I wanted four pickles and if they misheard or forgot they would have to repeat my order again and it would be a loss for them.
The ABC's of DISC
I wouldn't want to be any other type but I wish it included more characteristics about me. Other than that I really think it hit the right target on where I stand and I don't really think I want to change anything and be more dominant. I feel like I always tend to get my point across and explain to people why logically I am right and they agree with it.

The Power of Vision
1. Job in Advertising Company 2. Become a teacher 3. Live in the city These are my goals and after I graduate from Baruch I want to get a job in the marketing- advertising specifically and start my career from there. I hope to get a good job and save up money so I can go to grad school and get my masters and also to get a teaching license. I want to teach elementary level kids - it has always been my dream and advertising and all is more like a hobby because I am the creative type so I am not sure where this will take me but I believe it is worth a risk. Living in the city is something I want to do :) well I don't really know if its attainable or not, I mean it is expensive but I don't know how things are going to be in the future and all and if the city is still going to be the place where I would want to live but hey its a dream and a vision!

Management Techinique
I wasn’t the leader in class where I went up and asked people what they thought because I felt that too many people were up there so I was making suggestions from my seat. I think at times they weren’t coordinated and I didn’t think they were getting somewhere in the beginning but later on I felt that everyone was working together and making decisions when they were just asking everyone as they were going on instead of making little groups and talking about what to do. But I guess we all managed and came up with something, and it worked the way I wanted to because I really didn’t want an essay on the test.

Egg-cellent DROP!
Step 2: We knew we needed scissors to cut the straws for the spikes as well as the tape so we can get it around in all the areas without having big pieces. We assigned one person to go and run for the tape as soon as the timer was off and we were allowed to get the tape.
Step 3: We realized what if we don't get the scissors- because even though we assigned a group member to get the tape what if we didn't get it, instead we thought of alternate designs. So we thought of making a round thing around the egg and taping it down so it would be protected from every side and we made the layout on the paper. We also thought og different ways we can make the sides work so that the tape doesn't cover the whole thing because 50% of the egg had to been seen.
Step 4: We decided that one person would run for the scissors and the other 4- will hand the two of us that will put together the structure will hand us the tape nd straws so it would be cutting time and be more efficient and everyone will work together.
Step 5: When the time was called and everyone was running for the scissors, we ended up not getting them and the plan we made as our alternative is what we stuck with. We did everything as we planned and we finished before time and then we just reinforced our straw structure with more tape to make it more steady.
We went through every step and when it came time to drop our egg we were nervous but the end result was succesful. Our egg which we named Bubba lived the drop!!! It was a great experience and I think we couldn't have managed the whole process any better. We were looking at our goa- to get the five point on our exam and we worked hard to get it and planning definitely helped us. Also the whole group incorporated their ideas and it just kept making our design even better and showed how we all can work together as a team!
